3. Use of Provocation to get deeper discussions
"A family that eats together, STAYS together".

ReplyDeleteIt is encouraging to read your takeaways from today’s RPI on “Thinking” and the areas you have identified for planned implementation. It will be interesting to see how learners engage with the provocation (“A family that eats together stays together”) and whether it will give them the opportunity to disagree. I look forward to following up with you and Mary.
Thank you for sharing your homework from Day 6: Vocabulary (& decoding). I can see that a Word Pyramid organiser is your routine approach and wondered whether you planned to try out some of the ‘robust, interactive’ templates or any other approaches we introduced on the day like the ‘spotlight’ activity or anticipation guide?
Look forward to catching up on Day 8!

Great to see you thinking about deeper discussions and deeper thinking skills in your reading programme. This is exactly what our kids need. Ka Pai!
ReplyDeleteHi Ronil, this reminds me of our 'three level guide' days. It shows the importance of provocations and how these can prompt deep and meaningful discussions.
