Day 9 - Sharing Reading

Another great day at RPI. Few takeaways for me to implement in class are as follows:

1. Being a BLOG DETECTIVE. Ensures that learners are showcasing their work to the wider audience plus hooking them in at all times and not just seen as a must do task.

2.  Revisiting the basics of blogging. Learners identifying where they are at and whats next for them.

A great way to refer back to when stuck.

3. My immediate next step is on giving Feedback/Feedforward in all areas of learning.

It is important to note that the research demonstrates that it is not the quantity

of feedback that makes a difference but the quality of the feedback, and the

ways in which students are supported to engage with, respond to and utilise

the feedback to improve.

Learners should use feedback to confirm, fine tune or

restructure existing knowledge, beliefs and strategies.

A great program to be part of. Lots of takeaways for me

that I am successfully implementing in my practise.

This has brought in huge learner engagement as they

get to do a variety of work in Reading alone.

Also this program has grown my confidence in Reading

in terms of delivering a good program to my learners.
